This site is also based in the US, so the feds could raid it if they wanted. Hopefully their servers are somewhere else but this is a pretty bare bones forum. Probably have everything right on site like Hillary Clinton. I notice that when I go to login my browser says unsecure connection, anyone can access this information blah blah, something like that. Let's just say security doesn't appear to be their biggest concern.

Wow in in awe how much people don't understand the internet

Of course if you google your user name everything's going to come up

Like duh
I almost eye rolled so hard I didn't have eyes anymore

This goes for any forum or any website
Your private messages are not shown on google
Your profile posts are
And if you're someone who's logged in when you search google on another tab it will bring up even more information

If you have a gc or thc farmer account googling will pull up the same

What would make anyone paranoid about this is beyond me
First anyone looking for you would have to one know your username
How can someone associate your personal identity with a random user name on a website that have half a million users

Unless you specifically say I am so and so and I live here at this address your are fine

It's secure we've been around since 2006
We haven't been raided
If they were gunna do it it would've been done already

They don't need to raid your website. They just make a friendly fifa request to your isp, or use one of those secret routers placed throughout the backbone. You don't use https, that makes it really easy to read header info and track it back to a user.

You may have a half million users, but computers are wonderful inventions, it makes sifting for needles very, very, easy.

Your website is only a collecting point. The harvesting can happen long before messages arrive.

Probably no legal grounds to raid a forum. It's not actually a crime. Might consider upgrading to https someday though. I don't know how much trouble or expense that involves. I don't think most other forums use it either so probably expensive.

I think they've been using other means of security
Your right because we are world wide it's just pointless
No one can identify your screen name to your pot
Unless you're stupid about it
Like we have so many international users it's just not worth it

But this is heavily why we do not allow selling trading gifting etc from our users

But it hasn't and won't and our owner has taken means to protect us

If you feel you are too worried you can leave
That option is there

Yeah, bank sites use it. It just protects the login from being hacked I guess. Forums wouldn't use it because who cares if somebody hacks a forum account? No money involved. Anyway, just don't post stuff that would incriminate you and lead to your location.
