did i time halting nutrients right?

im cutting down in a week one of my plants (out of two). i stopped giving nutes a week ago. i am going to flush with 2 gallons today (already did a watering session of molasses+water a few days ago). is this enough to clear out all the shit in the soil, as well as get rid of the chemical taste (using MG feed and soil, btw) in the buds?

judging by the picture, if i give it a week (this ones about 90% cloudy, 10% clear), would you say that the buds should be void of chemical/fertilizer taste? also, in a week, do you think the trichs will have all gone cloudy, and a few start turning amber? i have two plants. this one i am going to harvest at almost all cloudy, and the other one, i am going to let go to amber, probably about 15-20%

also, some of the leaves look slightly purple. you can see from the bud that is on the right edge of the pot. temps around michigan did get really cold about a week ago (day box temp was about 76 degrees, but dropped all the way to about 50 degrees on some nights). would you say the color is coming from the temperature, or is that not low enough and i could have other problems?

You're cutting the leaves off anyway so what does it matter?

You could do a partial harvest, poutineeh. The plant will handle it just fine. A week might be a minimum, everyone who's been growing tells me two to three weeks is what they "like". A partial harvest could answer your question best for you I think, because you'd have the ability to do your own side-by-side comparison.

put them in dark for 48 hours of darkness,before you clip and all your clear ones will change and get some amber.so if you think there ready go by your own good judgement by what you know about growing,if not ask a ??? hey i bet it will be the best you could have thought either wat,happy token after curing,later jman

I can't answer the trich questions you've got, but I know that my leaves around my buds are turning purple also. Mine are in a closet and the temps are about 75 w/lights on and 60 or so with lights off. So, if that causes purple, then I'd definately say the 50 degree nights are attributing.

Your plant is growing some duct tape, btw.

haha it sure is. thinkin about making hash outta the tape.

actually, sad part of that is, i taped the stem of the bud to the side of my grow bin, and then i forgot i did that, pulled the pot out to flush, and then snapped the stem. ooooh i was pissed.

so i think i am going to cut the stem that broke first to give it a test smoke and then cut the rest down based on that.

I dont think that will be ready in a week...imo.. maybe 2 tops... still looks like it has a little bit more ripening.

yeah i agree with you. some of the hairs havent even turned orange. plus i think its going through magnesium deficiency. so im going to do another nutrient watering, let it fix itself up for a week, flush one for a few days, chop it, and then let the other one go an extra week
