today like 5 hours ago i sent a letter out in the mail with like 4 stamps to cover the postage to Europe and inside the envelope i put a bday card with the money inside, i put paper on the outside of the card to cover up the card so u cant see it from the envelope. i put my order number along with the cash inside. did i do this right? and can customs check whats inside?

You should have just used a debit card, why didn't you?

The thing about sending cash is anyone at any point on its journey from you to where its going can just take it. Or if someone is being a dick at nirvana they could keep it and claim it never arrived, although I imagine this isn't very likely with them because they are pretty good.

Sorry I'm not being very helpful, because I don't know if you did it right. Also its a bit late to ask now isn't it? :P

Should have just got a pre-paid Visa and ordered from Attitude. As far as your situation goes, I think you'll be okay as long as nobody steals it.

Next time use your debit card or get a gift card. Its safe. I've done it before with both nirvana and attitude, and everything was good and safe....

Btw it will make it but it will take a while, anywhere between a week to two. I also sent cash once to nirvana and it took about a month and a half for my little babies to come in.

yea this was not a good idea, im not saying u wont receive, u problywill, but for next time, this is a no no guy

You mailed it the right way. I cash ordered from High Grade Seeds with just a couple pieces of printer paper and had no issues. I wouldn't worry too much; the reality is that it's a crap shoot to get your seeds no matter what method of payment.

Unless you use your debit card and order from a good seedbank with a good reputation, the only crapshoot part you have to accept is the small chance of Customs intercepting your package, but if you used a good bank they will just send it again for free.

There is risk with whatever payment method you use. It is not nessessary to use your debit card for a guaranteed delivery. I agree that a reputable seed bank will reship beans if they are confiscated. People send cash either out of fear for privacy or do not possess a debit or credit card. I have gone to my credit card as I'm not ultra paranoid like my first initial order. I don't think cash orders should be critisized based on the premise of theft and non delivery. I have never had a cash order not come through. It is in your best interest though to make smaller purchases with cash as a precautionary measure...

Yeah I know I'm just saying that using ones debit/credit card (i would imagine debit is safer than credit but maybe not) is the least risky and quickest route to getting seeds

Sounds like you did what you needed to do when mailing cash, except, I don't think that you put enough postage on the envelope. When I sent cash for shipping and handling for an order that I did not receive to another seed company in Amsterdam the postage to send the envelope was around $13-$14 registered mail. I would not use a Debit Card because the Credit Card rules don't apply to them. I have used a Debit Card before, but for my safety I won't do it again. I hope your envelope comes back to you if there wasn't enough postage.:leaf::leaf::leaf:

What rules and why not your debit card again?

If you dispute a charge with a major Credit Card they will "usually" work on your behalf to resolve the problem and if needed reverse the charges. The same can happen with a Debit Card, but they don't have to do the settlement work for you . Credit Cards and Debit Cards are not the same, similar, but there are differences. You can always check with you banking establishment to find out your rights when disputing a charge. I am more comfortable using a credit card because the monies in my Debit Card are usually earmarked for my monthly expenses and I don't need to come up short while a dispute is being resolved. The Credit Card dispute does not acquire interest while being investigated:leaf::leaf::leaf:
