did i mess up my only fem seed????

hey guys, ok i got a problem..

i was tryin 2 germ all my fem seeds and 1 was different strain from the others so i can used the scissors blade to try 2 make a tiny mark on the bean, but it looks like it made a small cut instead, is it ruined??? please tell me its not!!

try and germ it .. that really is the only way that your gonna know for sure.. i wouldn't let it sit around for too long as if it is indeed cut, it may attract somekind of an infection to it, which would be a bad thing, lol.. i'm not saying that it would, just saying that i would want to use it as soon as you could just to avoid any possibilities of something happening to it..

thank u thank u.. im doin soak method with it do u think that good idea? or might invite more water into it? its like a line, it kinda looks like a cut.

lol its my only BB Cheese and i wanted 2 germ it in same cup. u can say im lazy lol

but i read:"an easier method is to just notch a small chip into them so the water can penetrate the shell and the seedling will start to expand."

true? plz be

Yes, that does work, but be very careful. The seed will do it anyway on it's own. That method does exist in horticulture, but is reserved for THICK skinned seeds. Weed is thin skinned and is basically not needed.
Germing in the same cup means separating them from each other at some point ... not good.

P.S. Next time, if you insist on germing in 1 cup, simply plant the seeds wherever and make a black spot on the cup nearest one strain, or write BB.

I used to nick my morning glory seeds when I had those outside at my old place. Worked good.
