Did i cook my seeds?

so i put my new seeds on the heating pad but i had it on high heat for a few days or so and wen i put em in soil the seeds did nothing i think i cook'd my seeds ... can that happen, the tail end of the seeds wen they pop'd smashed wen i went to put them in soil ,,, the inside of the seeds was mushy ?? will they germ in paper towel if its not warm i heard they wont germ in the cold ?? and the seeds are sooo small so it seems like it wont germ in soil ? any info will help

If your heating pad was on high then yes you probably cooked them. Seeds do need warmth to germ but not heat. They need to be in a dark, damp warm (~80degrees) place, and they will pop.
