Dialing in cabinet

Finally got my grow monitor set up and working. From Pulse Labs. I like it.

So I have a 2x4 cabinet.

Speed controlled 6” vortext fan

2 288 HLG led boards.

Also a small humidifier.

Set up in my living room. Next to my thermostat which is generally set to 70.

With the humidity going and lights on it says it’s sitting at 85 degrees and 53 RH.

If I turn the fan up the temperature goes down a little but so does the RH.

So my newb question is how to I drop the temp and raise the RH.

Tips for dialing in?

how many watts are the boards running at combined? 260?
are you exhausting the hot air out a window or just back into the room?
where are you taking this temp/humidity reading from? the probe should be out of direct light. do you have an infrared thermometer?
what is the ambient temps/RH like where you live?

Yes 260
It’s exhusting out the top into the room. Passive intake at the bottom. But I doubt that air is coming out at 85. Are large living room hardly gets above 70 right now. The probe is right at canapoy height. The lights are 17” above the canopy. I just bought a temp gun.

With the temp gun you'll be able to take leaf temperature, which is usually a bit lower than air temperature. when i put my temp probe in the direct light it often reads 85F or higher but when i take leaf temperatures they are a few degrees lower. if your living room is at 70F i doubt 260w of light is making your grow room 15 degrees warmer. unless the exhaust is heating up the whole room, in which case you should use ducting to route it out a window. my guess is that your temp probe is just affected by the direct light and plants would be fine and happy in the environment you created.

for vegging, you'll want your light a bit further away than that. which will bring down leaf temps and decrease VPD. for flowering, your numbers look great to me.

Thank you. I’ll raise the lights a bit more. Wait for the gun to come in and adjust the calculator on the probe.
