Hey man this thread is fantastic, absolutely great, actually decided to go for a Citizen build as my first cob light thanks to you :clap:

A 4 cob build like you did works perfect for my space, i just want to make sure i didnt mix up the parts, you're using 4 Citizen CLU048-1812 3500K 90 CRI, are those gen 6 or gen 5?

Also you're using a MeanWell HLG-240H-C1050B right? this one?:

Finally, do you know where i can get my hands on a few 3500k 90 cri 1812's? i've been looking all over the place and it seems like only digikey has them, and digikey is expensive..

Welcome And Thank You For Your Kind Comments Brother Dreddd. If I Were You I'd Go With The CLUO48-1818-3500K 90 CRI And Run It The Same Way With The 240-1050. The Reason I Went with The 1812 Was That's What @robincnn https://northerngrowlights.com/collections/all Had In Stock. Thanks man, i've been to cobkits/northengrowlights/rapidled a lot for the past week but none of them have a citizen in the 3500k 90cri range that isnt the CLU048-1212, i'm looking for either the CLU048-1812 or as you suggested the CLU048-1818, as far as i can tell running the 1818's with The 240-1050 just gets me better efficiency since i'm under driving them right?

Also you didnt say if the cobs in your builds are 5 gen or 6 gen, these two gens have a different spectrum.

i like the 3500k 90 CRI spectrum much more, if you look closely gen 5 and gen 6 dont actually have the same spectrum in general, gen 6 is a bit more green and blue with less red, gen 5 peak is at 630nm while gen 6 is at 620nm, not a huge deal i know, and if gen 5 or 6 were available in the 3500k 90cri flavor for 1812/1818 i'd jump on either.

but the 3000k gen 6 90 CRI spectrum looks worse in every way then gen 5.

I rather like the new spectrum
it's boosted noticeably at the 480 nm range, although it seems "narrower" it looks more full or complete

The CLU058 3000k 90cri gen 6 looks great. Sitting next to a DE Gavita is still looks to have a lot less red and more than enough blue. The 4000k seemed to have to much blue and is not on par with the other half (3000k). You can see on the left the 4000k looks like it got left behind. The right side is 2 Gavitas

Perhaps less stretch will result with same amount of bud on shorter/stockier plants. Less trimming, denser bud than tall girls? Or tall girls are closer to light, so heavier? Or Tall girls block out the lower buds, greedily absorbing more photons than necessary, lowering the overall light absorption of the whole plant. Or...Like gaps on the tall girls and donkey dick on the short ones.

They even have less branches. So, I didn't want to risk a corner of the tray falling behind. I will have over a 1000ppf over the entire tray with the center even higher. To follow this test, check my sig.

I Always Test My Lamps With A Kill A Watt Meter. Its A Cheap And Simple Way To Check The Actual Wattage And Amperage Of Your Light. When I Checked My 240 The Numbers Were Wonky And After Further Investigation I Found Out That My 240 Was Limiting My Current To 35.75V @1.3 Amps Light My Cob Up To 50 Watts Each Equaling 215 From The Wall. In Short What The Driver Was Doing Was Tapping The Brakes Slowing Down The Current
Wanted to ask if you found a way around this problem? is this the reason why you went with the 1050mW drivers for two lights in this side by side thread?
