one employee cost an employer close to $60k between back wages, EE taxes, ER taxes, fines and attorney with someone i used to do business with. a few restaurants no EE handbook..tried to tell him now i use him as 'the true story that happened to one of my clients because he didn't fvcking listen'..don't ever cross the kitchen people..they will fvck you up and call The State quicker than you can blink..just because you're paying them cash? you just bought your business a whole lotta trouble.
when i went back and tried to sell him on those handbooks he went and downloaded a web version..guess what the first question a judge will ask you about your companies handbook? 'when was the last time it was legally reviewed'? i just spent $60k..if someone won't invest the $2k to protect yourself? there's no help for you..don't call me when you're in trouble again.
