You don't have to flower the whole plant .... you can take a clone of the plant and put it into flower .... that what I do to sex a plant .... that way the hopefully female will continue to do the veg thang uninterrupted .... if its a boy get rid of it and the parent plant.

thats a good idea i hate pre-flowering it seems unatural
does in not take longer 2 show signs

yours should now be showing. look for little nubs beside the lateral branches. those are your preflowers.
and turn your im on!!
