Destroy All Mealybugs!

I guess I could have posted this in the Organics thread but the mealybug destroyers (and that is the official name for these critters) are on a couple of scale-infested gardenia bushes, not my cannabis plants.

Those damn scales have made a mess with all the honeydew they spew and the sooty mold that grows on it.

Anyway the white larvae of the destroyers kind of resemble mealybugs and I believe I read that they also eat the honeydew when they are not eating mealybugs or scales. But you can actually see the destroyer larvae moving around while mealybugs don’t. The destroyers are related to ladybugs

I’m including a picture of an adult destroyer. They are not as flashy in appearance as a ladybug but I guess that’s okay because they destroy mealybugs and I absolutely hate mealybugs.0ABC9177-2EEC-44E7-8034-4BFAF69BEC4B.jpegA8B0A08F-095B-4255-932A-16CF3DDF265B.jpeg 3E4B72E8-B361-4CC5-BD1F-3D999EEC92B0.jpeg7407095E-D6C4-4272-A4D2-A830B9B3627E.jpeg
