**DESPERATE FOR KNOWLEDGE **1st grow**

Hello All,
Thanks for your time. I have a couple questions I cant figure out. I'm growing in soil, a mixture of about 60% bushdoctor coco loco and 40% ffof. I've been feeding plants nutes through AACT's; the last tea was...

2gal RO
25 liquid seaweed
25 ml liquid fish
.5 tsp humic acid
8 tsp seabird guano
1.5c wormcastings
1tsp Recharge
4-5 tbs Mollases, Came out to about 8.3-10.2-7

other than that I just give them RO water ph 6.1 and liquid seaweed, I also put in some recharge every other water.Something is telling me I'm doing this all wrong.But IMO my plants seem to be doing ok. I am also unsure on when flipping to flower how to get bloom nutrients to the plant when it needs it if they need time to break down organically??

Large plant is cherry kush (day 40 veg), smaller plants are 501st OG (day 33 veg).

you need to flip asap they will outgrow your space fast. I let plants get outta hand and have a mess now, 4 plants need a 4x4 space each, hense why my entire room in 12-12. instead of the 20-4 and 12-12 I wanted. Your very soon gonna be out of room.

Seems like you feeding a lot of stuff??? Looks good for first grow....I'm new though I think everyone's but mine looks good.

pH. Most important factor IMO.

With the coco blend I dunno but you probably need additional magnesium, I did. Next time avoid blending coco and soil, thats bad.

I only have 1 feminized plant there, the rest of the plants are unknown at this point. So I'm pretty sure I'll have at least 2-3 males out of the bunch.

Coco needs a different watering pattern than soil. They also generally require different pH. Coco also needs more magnesium.

Coco or soil, not both. Coco should never be allowed to dry out but soil has to dry out pretty well between watering to prevent root rot.

Bushdoctor Coco Loco is a soil it just has coco coir instead of peat moss like ffof.

Agreed, unless you're doing a living organic soil. Then you want it to stay moist.

Ok, I was thinking he was talking about a straight coco coir and ffof mix. Well I guess I'll have to correct that next grow.

Ya don't mix the two. Soil or coco coir, not both. Renfro knows what he's talking about.

With RO you definitely want calmag.

Ok, I have been adding calmag regularly. I havent seen deficiencies other than small stringy new growth on a couple plants. Thinking I might as well flip to flower since I am running out of room.

I found a great spot to download FREE POT BOOKS . I downloaded a grow bible first and got lots more. Books look great and complete like the real ones I have here. No web site but just a page of links. Just right click on what you want and then "Save Link As" to download so they don't open first as many are 50+ megs. They got lots. Enjoy.

Know that when you flip the nutrient needs go up and if there is a pH issue at the root zone that is limiting uptake (I believe there may be) then it will come to head after flip. If you see mag def popping up after flip then raise the pH.

I measured ph and ec a few days ago. One plants runoff EC was 2700ppm and ph was 7.5

that's no beuno

High run off ph I bet is from some kind of lime in the media, unless your water was way high. A high runoff ec could be from the same reason. These are two reasons run off is not useful in many cases.

Hell, won't any runoff have a high EC?

With organic soil you don't want runoff washing out the limited nutrients. With bottle fed you want runoff to prevent salt buildups. catch 22
