Hello All,
This great commonwealth of ours denies the medicine that sick patients need. Everyday they stall on opening dispensaries sick patients suffer. Its not just the fact that its been two years since Mass voters approved question 3 with 63% of the vote and we still have not one dispensary open, or that the state denies dispensary applicants that meet all of the DPH qualifications, and its not even the corrupt politicians that worry me at present. What is weighing on my mind is the power of these doctors that are giving recommendations. They are truly the ones that have control. I am from Western Mass, here we did not until very recently have access to but one doctor in Northampton that would give recommendations for medical cannabis. And when I went to that one doctor that was available she turned me down in an instant. I suffer from chronic viral hepatitis c, which causes back pain, fatigue, and lack of appetite for me. I had all the proper documents proving my ailment and not to mention hep c is one of the qualifying conditions, written in black and white on Mass.gov website and I was still turned down. Yet a friend of mine got his card for having broken his arm in high school over six years ago and having it labeled as chronic pain. I simply could not understand the doctors decision to deny me. Upon trying to contact the doctors office I was treated with disrespect and told "we don't want people like you". I am not even going to entertain what she meant by that. . . . Since being denied by that particular doctor I have gotten my card from another one. Luckily another prescriber opened up an office in Springfield thus ending the tyrants rule over Western Mass. All joking aside though I do question why I was denied and I also question the power that a doctor has when they can simply deny without question a sick patient the medicine they need. One question is as disturbing as the other. I pose to you the reader, this question though : Will you tolerate another year in this state without a dispensary? Will you allow our votes to be rendered useless? Allow the will of the people to go unanswered? ..... let me know what you think
