Dehumidifier in/out of tent

Hey all hope you’re enjoying the weekend!

Getting into flowering and needing to get RH down in the forties. I’ve got a 8x4 tent with a ac exhaust fan in place. The exhaust however is circulating back into the basement, I can’t run it outside. As such the fan kicks in when humidity exceeds 50, but it’s causing my normally dry basement of 30 to be around fifty as well.

so drop the dehumidifier inside or outside of the tent? I’m guessing inside but if I ca. Get the same effect without taking up tent room id prefer that
Thanks all!

Well the only way it’s getting to 50 is that exhaust fan constantly running. Which is fine during lights on.
At night it’s pulling in cool air since the humidity is easily 60 plus in the tent. I can’t get the air warmer at this point and it’s causing temps at night to hit 62.

So i figured dehumidify in the tent, causing fan to kick in less often this causing less drastic temp fluctuations.

I had my entire crop herm and I’m trying to isolate and lock down the environment as best as possible. I don’t know if it was genetics, light leak or other stress either way I’m doing what I can to mitigate stress and ruin my next run.
Oh and the wife was complaing that 50 in basement is causing dank smell. Not good dank.
So I should have just answers “my wife told me so” lol

A dehu will definitely add heat. Should do fine outside your tent since you are venting to the same area.
