Dehumidifier for 4x4 (120x120) grow tent

Hi Guys. I'm having a humidity problem in my tent, am 4 weeks into flower and the RH with lights on is 65-70, lights off about 70-77.

Now i've done a fair bit of research and alot of people say they put their dehuey's by their intake? How does this work? Does it suck "dehumidified" air into the tent and that brings the humidity down?

My setup is a 5inch rhino extracting out of the tent and a 4 inch intake with an oscillating and clip on moving air about inside. Any tips or suggestions from people using similar setups will be much appreciated, i realise i probably will have to spend at least about £80.

It sounds like it removes moisture from the air before it's drawn into the tent. I had that idea the other day when looking for a dehumidifier and contemplating what to do.....For now I am leaving lights on longer...But yeah at some point you have to lower the humidity.. Basically I am just going to place it outside the tent in front of the intake and let the air coming out go right into the tent and see how that works. I am sure there are other ways with more sophisticated/better systems.

Yeah i've seen a few people claiming this is the way to do it. Any models you've been looking at? Here's a couple i'm considering -

No I have an Autoflower going so don't have to worry about that atm....thank god..

As far as which one? yeah a smaller one just to drop it down a bit. something in the $40-$60 range.

I only have a small closet area to worry about nothing big.

Got ya. Do you think one that cheap would be sufficient for my 120x120?

Well those smaller type can do up to a 10 'x 10' room or so no problems. MY issue has been trying to find one I can adjust the RH. Once you start getting into being able to adjust it the price shoots up. If you are just trying to take the edge off I think the smaller ones would do it. I have almost clicked buy on the order several times except we need one bigger because of the Humidity overall in the house. I will probably get something a notch or two up from the smallest ones first then check into a larger one later for the house.

I'm thinking this might just do it. Only £50. It also lets you set the desired humidity range (40 - 80%) I'm not sure is this is available where you are? looks decent anyhow.

Oh wow that's a nice one I have to see if someone carries anything like that over here in the states.

I see a lot of them like this One over here for the smaller type.

We have one similar and it is the older type has lower reviews.

Oh now I am finding out those kind like it be around 86F and 60+% RH to gather water better.....hmm.

I might have to actually put it in the tent for it to work better.

hmm.....Ok back to studying the compressor types..seems they all work the same.

The Real Older types are said to be better for some reason.

I was looking at ones like this One too but they are apparently quite unreliable and not very efficient...yes about compressor types...apparently the cheaper ones with quiet "peltier" technology aren't nearly as effective as the ones that use abit more power and are abit louder. This is just from the information I have gathered, not stating facts. I think I might spend a little extra though, maybe around £80-100 as it seems the motor burns up quickly on the cheaper ones from the reviews I've been reading.

Just found this one, good reviews. It seems this price range is where you really start to get a bit of bang for your buck.

Hey Uberknot, try searching "dehumidifier price comparison" in google or any search engine. I just did it and managed to find a price comparison site with lots of reviews also. really good way to narrow down. In fact the link I attached in the previous post is the price comparison site I am looking at now (revoo.com)
