Defoliating Autoflower - For or Against?

I’ve been low stress training a blueberry auto and wanted to research about pros and cons of removing leaves off my plant.
The reason I want to do this is to allow light to penetrate the tops I have created on her.
She is in her first week of flowering and I have been tucking the leaves in upto now to allow light to hit my tops.

what would you suggest

Some say its good to defoliate autos but personally i dont think thats a good idea.

If your plant is healthy and you have a strong light then I you can defoliate your auto and it won’t even notice.

If your plant is already struggling and your light is weak maybe leave it as is. Without pics and info there is no way to say what is best.

I take all the big fans are in the middle that are stacked up and leave one or two. . I take anything blocking future bud sites. I take anything 12” or more from top of canopy including branches bud sites etc. anything past that point isn’t even worth messing with for me.

dont trim leaves if not absolutely necessary, im not a big fan at all

You don’t have a strong enough light to defoliate IMO. I would leave them alone. IF your dead set on taking something take the upper leaves that are blocking lower sites, toward the middle of the plant only. I wouldn’t take any branches.

isnt that the purpose of defoliating, so the little growth can get more light then if whens in the shadow of a big ass fan leave?

Yes IF he had more light. It’s not there. I wouldn’t do it just my opinion.

I’m also using LEDS too I just removed them so the picture would come out clear

Using a 200w cfl
I smoke a lot of weed bro and live in a small one bedroom flat so it is a DIY stealth set up

I was using that as an example for defoliation.

I’d still leave the leaves.

I personally defoliate under my led but not for the normal reason of doing it , I mainly do it if the fan leaves are covering bud sites that could be getting light but I only defoliate if I’ve tried moving leaves out the way and it still doesn’t make a gap for light to penetrate

I took several fan leaves off yesterday that I felt were obstructing lower bud sites. But I would say it was about 10%. The pictures you see are after I defoliated. Using Grotek monster bloom atm to provide the right nutrients for bud production and will be preparing to flush soon.

Yeah I used the tucking method all throughout the grow to be honest.
