Deficiency or bugs??

Yes I am! My humidity is so low that misting is a must. I'm really hoping it's a burn rather that bugs but I'm using CFL and my temperature is just right. If I mist in the night it gets way too cold for them. I ordered some neem, hopefully I won't be needing it though.. I also need to keep the upper layer of the soil moist as it dries very fast because of the fans so the plants get sprinkles anyway... :/

you can spray them just after the lights go out and/or before they go on, like and hour, or half an hour before they go on. that will do the trick. i have the same problem, i used a humidifier, it was ok but now I have a water based A/C which spiked up the humid to 65% (!!) and temps down to 80-85F. its awesome! cfl can also cause heat burns when you spray water on the plants...

btw- if you keep spraying the top of the soil + lights, it will grow that green stuff (that grows in un filterd pools, cant remember the name for it...) or even fungy. if you want to keep the top of the soil from drying up just place a piece of tin-foil or a cart or reflectiv papier. the reflective will also help a bit with the grow...

Really? Wouldn't that do harm as well? Covering it all up? Doesn't it need the oxygen as well as the light to dry a little bit? My problem is it dries too much on top.. Is that actually such a problem?
Anyway, if covering the pot with tin foil is good, then it would be perfect to reflect some light on the lower parts of the plants!

you dont need to air-tight the plant, just place a sheet on the top. it will be perfectly fine. usually if the top of the soil, like 2-3 mm is dry its ok. if lower than that then it only means you need to water it again. just make sure not to much. but yea, put a tin foil covered- cart board over the soil, that will do the trick!

no m8, that is somthing nibbeling on your growing...! sorry! but what I sayd about the spraying is still true and might couse a problem in the futוr. but as for now- nuke'm!!

its exposition time!! get a jewelers x30 magnifier and start looking around especially where the leaves meet the stems or in the flowers. thats where they like to hide. find one, google it and take care of it!

I just got the Neem and I do hope its mean stuff! I sprayed it all over my babies. But this stuff smells of citrus! No wonder the label warns no to inhale much

The thrips that lightly chomped on my shit, i fried their asses with some organic blend of Azamax worked wonderfully! Good luck getting rid of the pests!

Hi there! The soil is light mix, which should last for 3 weeks without any nutes. I have been using some bio root stimulator, enzymes and just recently added some bat guano (2/15/2) using the minimal dosage. I watered them with the extract twice in 3 days, but the rusty stuff started the day before I used the guano..
About my PH - I am using mountain water from a spring and apparently it is a bit more acidic that I hoped ~ 7,5.. Is it wise to change the water source with a lower PH level or stay the same - the plants are almost 3 weeks old.

Unfortunately this is my first grow and I have no idea about those values... I checked very thoroughly for bugs and I don't see any.. And after misting them with Neem they are just getting worse... Three from 6 are showing the same symptoms, but I have the feeling the others will follow.. Could it be because of the high PH of the water.. I'm switching to filtered tap h2o first thing..
So I should get some nute with CA and MG in it, is that right?

If your going to use reverse osmosis water for sure you will need cal/mag supplement Botanicare has cal/mag plus or dolomite lime works too.....and if you spray neem oil make sure to do it when lights out....I wouldnt use it unless you see bugs though......it could be ph related though I doubt it unless your ph is severely off......it could also be that your water has too much of one micro nutrient in it locking out calcium.....
