debate time!!

okay so im growing a sour diesel plant and its around its 3rd weed flowering. and its from a germinated seed. my dad thinks the plant will create weed but it wont be potent or good at all. so he thinks it will just make some shit weed. but i have never heard this before from anybody. he wants me to get rid of it cuz he feels its pointless to have a plant from a seed around cuz it wont be what im expecting. but i cant bring myself to throwing away a perfect looking plant in mid budding. what do you guys think? am i wasting my time using a seed or is my dad just dumb? he has grown before but always used cuttings.

where does he think cuttings come from lol??? as long as the seed is REALLY what you think it is then keep it, a fem seed will produce just as good of product as a cutting. maybe he is saying this because the original sour diesel is a clone only strain but i dont know.

a cutting is guaranteed genetics, a seed is either a combination of genetics from two parents, or a combination of the parents genes from a hermie, so i dont get the dabate, did the seed come out of some shitty bagweed? yeah a seed is a gamble but thats how you find a good phenotype by growing shit out.
