You aren't a metal fan until you have given one the most influential metal bands of all time a very thorough listen. Poor Chuck......he was taken far to early.

agreed. Death really don't get the credit they deserve. True pioneers.

Death pretty much pioneered modern death metal. Listen to Scream Bloody Gore, so far ahead of its time. I also recommend Chuck's side band Control Denied. Great thrash/speed metal. Totally different than Death. Chuck was a musical genius.

Saddest part is I never got into the band until a few months after Chuck's death; which I didn't know about. After purchasing Individual Thought Patterns, Symbolic and Sound of Perseverance, I bought the Live in LA album and found a slip to donate money for Chuck's brain cancer treatment. Then I found out it was too late. That was heart-breaking...
