Dead stems

Is it alright if I can clip these if so to say a deer came by and ate the leaves at the end but left a few for my plant to grow and try to make a recovery? Would clipping these Be better for my plant since it is not supplying nutes to a dead stem? Keep in mind my plant is around 2 mo old.

I clip all leaves with over 50 % damage. i try to cut some in half if I can.
