Day 26 of flowering, Yellowing lower leaves solution?

Hello! I've been growing in a super soil store bought blend which is obviously not strong enough for this stage of growing in 7g pots.

The lowering leaves on some of my plants and even up to mid level are yellowing. What should I be adding to my plants to get them through the last 5 weeks or so? Maybe a mix of worm castings, bat poo and molasses every other feed until the last 2 weeks?View attachment 5192804
So I would highly recommend doing multiple pieces here that will help you get the soil kicking again. The big problem with the soil industry is that the guys selling you the soils are not giving you the full picture. Anyone who sells you a soil that does not require any additives is questionable in my opinion just simply because of the complexity of soil and its relationship with plants.

1. Someone already mentioned a compost tea. A balanced tea is perfect so that you can get the microbial life kicking in the soil pots.

2. Top dress. Either dry or raw materials. Either one is going to need time to break down. I only use raw materials and couple them with bacteria - which is my next recommendation - and springtail mites. They do the work on breaking them down and making them available for the plant to take up. I would go with Gypsum, Kelp & Alfalfa meal. I do 4ml/l of soil in about week 3 and its works well from me. Another additive I would recommend is potassium sulfate. I use this from the start of flower at 0.5g/l of soil. Then I bump that up in 5 week to 1g/l. I top dress this in week 7 as well.

3. Bacteria. Dude if you want to get good results, this has to be added into your grow on a weekly basis. I use specific strains of bacteria that I got recommended through a guy I have been learning from. It has been the biggest game changer in my opinion when it comes to the soil biology. You will see rapid improvements.
Spend the money on this, it will change your plants life. Another thing you can do is look at the ingredients and see if you cant find an alternative to the above in another product. I live in South Africa so I have had to look around.

4. Fungi. This is going to help improve the overall health of your soil. They look after the roots of your plant and in turn take care of the soil to ensure the plant gets what it needs. I work with Trichoderma and its been amazing. I spray spores into my plant once every 10 days.

5. Foliar spray. Potassium silicate will give you a huge boost of K which will help with the immediate problem. I use the once every 10 days as well.

6. Top dressing with browns and greens. This is another essential practice you need to consider. This is feed for the microbial life in the soil. If you are doing the above, then adding this as a top layer just pumps up the benefits. I use 2 parts brown to 1 part green and the wider the variety the better. The recommendations are usually stinging nettle, comfrey, borage, horsetail, dandelion and the list goes on but I am sure if you just do a quick skim read on the plants you have available, you will see they will add some form of nutrient to your soil. I just trimmed my lavender tree and used the leaves from my avocado plant and it is working life a charm.

7. RESEARCH. Do yourself a favor and stop relying on what these shops sell you. Look at what the living soil guys are doing and do your research. One hour a week or 10mins a day. Just take the time. Its going to save you so much money. I have moved over from synthetics and not only are my plants growing happier and healthier, it is at a lower cost and there is literally no wastage. Everything goes back into the soil, nothing is thrown away.

Check this out. Changed my perspective.

Preach brother.

Organic
+ microbes
+ bacteria
+ fungi

Allow the plant to take what it wants, when it wants, as long as it's there in the soil. The more life in your living soil the more nutrient cycling that will be going on.

Awesome stuff, thanks guys!!
My plants are hanging on and almost ready to harvest(pic attached) but looking to do a lot more of the above next round! I've just been feeding molasses, bat guano, kelp, crab meal, neem meal and a few other things last few waters. (Basically coots soil mix I made myself top dressing) received_1121186998783106.jpeg
