of course you can, if you want to suffer less penetration, less photosynthesis, less yield....go for it, makes less heat, thats a positive

I didnt say that. I love led light. fact is, it doesnt penetrate like hid, doesnt photosynthesize as effectively, and produces less yields.
"Better" is subjective. its better for a grower who is troubled by hid light heat for instance.

Yes you will be fine. Although you may suffer a slightly lower yield. Nothing too drastic. Don't let people get you caught up in the The Great LED Debate. If you need to make the switch it will be fine.
Damn I thought yield would be higher, there is no reflection in the area either... Yeah my basement temps were also getting like 78 in the summer, this should bring it down a degree or two.

from my personal experiences using cree cobs coming from horti super hps's, my yeilds are high per watt used, & my electricity bill is lower...
