Day 23 - going 12/12 in one week.

Hello everyone,

Day 23 (from seed) Bomb berry bomb fem seed, 250w hps:

Thinking to go 12/12 in about a week or maybe two.

Question 1: should i slowly cut the day time...or just go 12/12 when the time is right ?
Question 2: i only got this one plant, in a 3x3x6 tent, with 400w hps in flowering. should i add a 200w cfl flowering lamp....or the 400w hps will be enough ?

since you only have one-veg longer to get a bigger yield-why hurry. more light the merrier. good luck

...well its a fem seed...but what if it turns out male...i wanna veg fast...make some clones...and go flowering to see if it will be a female...and then once i know its a female...the next grow with those clones will be a big one

it will reveal its sex during veg when it is mature (4-6 weeks or there abouts). also-you can still take clones during flowering. I take mine as soon as it shows sex if I do force flower it and not wait fot it to reveal it on its own.

...dint know it could reveal its sex during veg...thanks for that info

...take clones during flowering? ...sounds little problematic to me...i dont like to stress my babes during flowering at all...i often have lots of troubles during flowering(not enough grow experience, i guess

) ...so i take clones during veg, and then if it turns out a female...the next grow is often look like a jungle

it's not really during flowering - it is typically within the first 7 days of 12/12 once pre-flowers show up in veg - in the transition between veg and flowering i guess you could say. no stress on them if you don't go crazy and chop her bare.

oh no...no crazy chop chop...just a couple of clones...i only have one waterfarm...i got it to test and see how good it is, and it works so well im thinking to getting another one soon...so all in all maybe 3-4 clones it all it takes for me. and since i see some small branches in the bottom of the plant that probably wont develop much, i think those will do fine

its day 27 from seed, ppm 800 ...was wondering if its too low ? ...the last one was 650...so i think 800 should be fine...what you guys/gals think ?

Its a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lol:

i see small white hair(pistils) on certain calyx on top of the oldest branches. its only day 6 since 12/12 ...i dint think it would show sex so early.

one question, is it ok to take some clones at this time ? cause i only have one 5days old clone and it dosent look good.

anyways, thank you all for the help! :leaf:

Grats on the lady! I thought that clones are not recommended once the would be momma shows her sex. Not 100% sure though

I think i will have to make clones anyway, i dont think its all that bad at this stage, it will just probably take more time for the clones to grow...but im not 100% sure myself.

anyway, im happy as hell that its a girl, i only had one plant :-)

Looks good to me man, she is gettin to be a beast! As far as the clones go.. pick a few from the bottom that the light isn't hittin, give em a solid 14 days to root in the humidome. I soak my rockwool cubes in a solution of 0-6-4 bloom nutes and GH rapidstart @ 200-300 ppm total for 2 days before I cut and dip in clonex. 2 weeks later roots everywhere! Ill take the cuts as soon as there's about 20 healthy ones on a new plant.. and take a few more then I need upto half the amt. Available.

Thank you very much for the information...I'll try this solution for a couple of clones...see how it goes

The thing is that my clones will be in a humidome in the same grow room under 12/12 but with their own 17w t5 lamp...i never started clones right in 12/12 ...hope it works.

I've never sexed em like that either, but if u veg em long enough it'll show without switchin light cycles. I know it was mentioned earlier but just to reiterate and reassure.. it does work! If ur workin with reg seeds its better to run a few @ a time so u don't have to start from scratch if u do get a male, but by the time u see pistils or scrotums in veg u can take ur cuts and flower mama for a decent yield(assuming u pop 3 and get atleast 1 female). I wish u the best in ur future findings!
