dank vape cartridges

The point wasn't your process the point was his BHO will work perfectly well if he simply decarbs it. So his process should work if he decarbs. I don't think he needs to move to a different process, does he?
Decarb helps, but definately need to winterize the bho or you only get a few hits in before the cart stops hitting. Don’t ask how I found this out lol

no loss of terpenes in your process c/n? just going by what i was reading off of the crappy link i posted, not questioning your lab skills...
The terpenes get pretty badly beaten up in my process. The bright monoterpenes simply go away. The remaining terps don't really taste like flower or hash.
They have companies now that make terpene blends that are supposed to mimic the odor and flavor of strains. I might try one or more of those out.

I'm also trying to think of ways to make a good extract that does a lot less harm to the original odors and flavors. So far my best idea is to do a cold solvent run on some bubble. Dewaxing with solvents is a process that shifts the terpene profile markedly, so I'm curious if bubble, which is mechanically dewaxed, may be a way into cold-processsed "designer" oil runs. Not sure if it'll work ... might get off my ass someday to try it out.

and here i thought scrapple was an east coast thang..
I grew up in MD. Every summer since I was a bump in momma's belly we went to Fenwick Island DE for two weeks' vacation. I remember all the Rapa Scrapple billboards, oh and Lewes Dairy too.

Essentially you make a distillate and then syringe them into those cartridges. CN can discuss concentrates and distillation. I am the grower, he's the chemist ;D
So if I have some rosin made from hash, should I just make distillate some cannabis to get the essential oil and mix it with the rosin? Or is there another process to separate the terpenes from the essential oil and then mix the terpenes with the rosin?

If you worked from, say, bubble hash, you should have low waxes and non-volatiles. I use CCELL carts which handle thick material very well. I've only had to thin in an extreme case.

So I would try your rosin "as run" in a cart. If it is waaay thick, a per cent or two of d-limonene is a good neutral (flavor, health) thinner. But I am surprised at just how thick an extract/distillate a CCELL will handle without missing a beat.

If you were making rosin from bud, there would be some waxes and "heavies". What I do not know is if those waxes and heavies make a practical difference. If you have a few spare carts, I'd experiment. I doubt you'd need to add a distillation step, but your mileage may vary.

So lets say the rosin alone doesn’t work. How would I separate the terpenes from the cannabis essential oil in order to mix with the rosin?

Depressing, huh :?
I just tried looking up a few pesticide cart test's & its actually beyond depressing of whats actually found in 50% of the batches, even the popular brands.

permethrin, myclobutanil, bifenazate, paclobutrazol, lead, tebuconazol, bifenthirin, carbaryl, etoxazole ect are just a few that are usually found in excess from 5x - 80x the legal limit, kidney & lung wreckers for sure.

I don't think I understand your question, so allow me to get some information.

1) What is your hashmaking process? Bubble bags, dry sift, other? (How clean of non-trichome-head material is this hash?)

2) How do you make rosin? Describe method please. How is your recovery, and what is left behind after pressing?

2a) What is the room-temp texture of the rosin? Has it been decarboxylated anywhere along the way? I suspect decarb isn't important (the cart supplies quite enough heat) but THCA is more viscous than THC.

3) I am under the impression you have one batch of pressed (from hash) rosin. The terpenes should all be in there still, unless you've done some high-temp step I'm not considering. Do you have a second process from which you can/would purify some terpenes?

4) Why do you want to thin? So long as it isn't shatter and flows a little at RT over a few hours, it should work in a good distillate-tuned cartridge.

5) You mentioned distilling. Have you done this? Using what conditions/setup?

(When I felt the need to thin a batch, I used the aforementioned d-limonene. It blended right into the flavor profile of the batch of distillate in question.)

TIA

1) Dry sift. Not so clean I guess

2) I have a 10 ton press with aluminium heating plates. I press the hash using 37micron bags for 60seconds at a temperature of 80 celcius and a pressure of 500. What is left behind is some dried sandy textured darker hash that is not smokeable.

2a) the rosin is solid at room temperature and melts as soon as u touch it

3) I don’t have another process. I was just told that to be able to refill vape cartridges, I should make rosin and then mix it with pg, vg or peg. Since I’m against smoking all these solvents I was told that I could mix it with terpenes. Terpenes are found in the essential oil I get from cannabis distillation. Which is why Im asking if the cannabis essential oil is enough for mixing with rosin or I should somehow extract the terpenes from the essential oil and then mix with rosin.

4) Its more solid than liquid. Would it work alone in a CCELL cartridge?

5) I haven’t done a cannabis distillation yet but I usually distillate herbs using a hydro distillation unit

Or the latest dank vape scam that put 18 ppl in the hospital and 4 in critical condition by vaping a counterfeit dank vape cart in washington. Like putting poison in a fancy package for ppl to buy.

LOL
