When I dont run the exhaust fan in my dresser, the humidity is really high... the thing is I would like to run it with homemade co2 bottle because the temps are stable at 32 with the fan off. So how bad it would be to put a bucket of DampRid in the dresser at a good distance from the plant... are they going tto breath the chemical or it doesnt go in the air? anyone using this?

Hey Endur0xX, Damp Rid makes a product for closets. Its a plastic hook hanger with a breathable membrain portion that hold the calcium cassenaten pellets. Below that is a pouch that securely collect the water. There is no way to spill contants or collected water unlike those little cup with the inserts they also make. These last 1 and 1/2 months, when pellets dissovle and collection bag full just throw away and hang another one! No muss/fuss and no way to spill, knock over to contaminate your grow. You can find info at www.damprid.com or 1-888-326-7743 Good Luck to you hopes this works out for you!! PEACE !!

so it's not that bad to be using this chemical in my small grow dresser? I will go with the cup because I bought from home depot this way and I have a safe place to put it. I might be trying c02 again! (I had to run the fans because the humidity was up to 80!!!) Thanks

It is just calcium chloride (the crystals), which is the same thing used to deice roadways and such. It is also used in food packaging as a desiccant and in foodstuffs themselves during preparation for various purposes (FDA approved\generally recognized as safe).
