ok i live in southern texas and im growing hydroponics... it is definitely tricky i just got enough supplies to branch away from my buddy and start out myself but my problem thus far is keeping my damn reservoir temp below 72 degrees cause its humid as hell here and root rot is my worst nightmare i have little money to spend at the moment and i was thinking about making a refridgerator coil and sticking it in my mini fridge give me some ideas that will bring the water temp down 10 degrees overall temp could drop a lil but not completely necessary

you can swing the electricity then that should work. get some 1/4 copper tubin and make as many loops as you can. then you can use compression fittings.

another way is to use cool air. do you have access to a basement? you live i your own house? pipe cool air up from basement with pvc pipe. might help with humidity

you could try foam beer coolers. cheap, and can cut to fit pieces around res. use frozen bottles of ice? frozen gallons of ice?

might have to replace daily

think i have found my solution i just made more coils and got a bigger pump set me back about 30 bucks but it dropped my tank temp down to 68 so im happy in case anyone has this same problem i just got 100ft of 1/4 inch tubing for home depot and 4 peices of 8 inch long 3 inch wide pvc and wrapped the outside of it with the tubing then coil the tube into the inside of the pvc and make the water flow thru the middle first wrap em up in duct tape throw em in your freezer (i have a mini fridge) and run 2 peices of tubing from reservoir and attach a submersible pump and let it pump water thru your freezer coils back to your fridge. i wrapped insulation around the tubing to prevent the water from taking on anymore heat. works great if your poor and live in a hot place and dont have an aquarium chiller.

p.s. beware this device will raise suspicion cause mine looks like a bomb
