So all 3 of my plants are ready for harvest and I was gona start flushing today for the next week than chop em... BUT something came up and I MUST harvest in 2 or 3 days from now. I gave them a good thorough flush today about twice the volume of the containers with regular britta filter water. I'm using pro-mix (soilless medium) is it okay to flush again tomorrow even tho it will be wet still? What kind of effect will this have on my harvest due to lack of proper flushing? Help is much appreciated +rep. Thanks! :leaf:

if your using organics wouldnt be to much of a problem...if not just give them a longer cure you'll be ok...

i had no time to flush properly on my last grow of British Blue Cheese i had to use GHE ripener for the whole of the last 7days to hurry them along in a quick 7 week flower which should have been 9weeks.

I can honestly say that i have found no ill effects on flavour or aroma or potency. But then my bud has had at 3weeks cure so far.

I have had 2 grows so far currently on my 3rd. The first grow i did flush and second i didnt i honestly couldnt tell any difference.

Some people say that the last 2 weeks of the flowering period are where the plant needs nutrients the most.

Hope this helped.

Some people don't even flush their plants before harvesting, personally I do. You might experience a more harsh or chemically taste. I have seen lots of discussions on here regarding whether or not to flush.

Thanks for all the help(I'll add the rep when I get on my computer but right now I'm on my crackberry phoen Lol) but... I was thinking I should be okay tho. They smell absolutely delicious and I cure for as long as I keep my bud so it will be a few months worth of smoke. I read that flushing is more important and needs more time with soil. But I'm not using soil so I hope it goes well. Already did a test burn and it was great. I love my sativas. Thanks again. Peace :leaf:

Flushing is not necessary. Contrary to what many people will tell you, the taste has very little do with whether or not you flushed and everything to do with how you dried and cured the buds once you chopped it. The closest i come to a pre harvest flush is to give them a good drink of pure water two days before I plan to cut them down.

I flush 9 days before I harvest. I smoke as I cure. Being I flush very well, my ash burns white, no harshness (was using heavy synthetics).

But if you have been easy on the nutes, I think one simple flush would be fine.

hey man i use MG soil and MG nutes and i used to flush got lazy 1 harvest and ever since i dont flush no more. personally i dont really notice anything different and this is comparing the same strain and clones off of the same plants. also the guy that sayed sumthin bout ash burnin white imo thats nonsense. ash burns white depends on how dried ur stash is. the drier ur stash the whiter itll b
