damaged seedling

Hey All,

Quick question... I threw two popped seeds in soil the other day and discovered I had a lighting problem so yesterday morning I sat the solo cups outside because I figured they were going to break soil and didn't want them in the dark. Anyways, came home with new bulbs to find that a bird (or something!) bit the top off of one of the seedlings. Is this plant done or will it bounce back? I have about 1/4" of stem showing above the top of the soil, seedling leaves are GONE:roll:! The other plant is fine.

Thanks for any help.

depends on how bad it was damaged but I'd be on the lookout for that damn bird... load up the bb gun hehe

Got a pic?

I should have known better... Damn birds have damaged some of the plants in my vegetable garden as well. I'll post up a pic tonight, didn't happen to take one. It doesn't look bad, looks as though they just took a clean bite off the top of the plant.

Just start another seed wtf wrong with you:lol:Are you paying $100's a seed:cuss:
If it just popped just start over cuz your wasting your time on a plant the just started:hump:
All ways pop twice the seeds you plan on using and then start a few extra seedlings cuz you'll way going to have deaths:evil:

FYI, seedling appears to be sprouting new leaves, maybe it's not dead.

Also, I don't *think* anything is wrong with me for only starting two seeds. I've been using feminized seeds since I started this and have had zero issues before. Space confinements allow me to mature two plants maximum (seriously, two plants is pushing it a few weeks into flower). If i started out with more then two and all sprouted fine I don't know what I would do with the extra. I also have very little desire to grow more then two at a time. I was merely looking for anybody that possibly knew ahead of me waiting several days if this seedling was ruined... at that point I would have started a new seed. But honestly, I do find seeds somewhat expensive and do not want to waste any.
