Damaged Fan Leaves

Hey guys,

Well I left for a day and a half only to come back to a magnesium deficiency. I recognized the problem right away because it has happened to me before. Anyway, I was just wondering what you guys do with damaged fan leaves from whatever the cause may be, do you let them fall off naturally or do you cut them off? I let them fall off naturally. Is there a benefit from clipping the really bad damage leaves off? Thanks you all for your input!

I've had plants that are just so depressing and clipped them just so they look better and I feel better about things. Luckily as time goes on, I have fewer and fewer problems in my grows. Really though, it won't hurt to let them be. If the leaf is gone the plant can't use anything that might be left in it. If it's still there, it might look sad, but still has something to offer the plant. When the plant is done with it, it'll fall off naturally.

CLIP THEM. At least, that's what I do. I've gotten in the habit of trimming the lower portion of plants anyways though.

The stem from the leaf to the main stalk is thick and healthy, but the leaf can crumble in my hand.
