D.I.Y. Ballast Ignitor Repair

Thought I'd post this for anyone w/ the same problem I had. I have a 1000w switchable ballast & 2 days ago I moved it out of the way when it was on the off cycle & I must of hit the switch from MH to HPS and fried the ballast. I just took the side w/ the switches and plugs off & found 1 of the 3 wires goin to the 120V plug was fried. I cut about an inch off the end w/ the clip on it & put another clip on & plugged it back into the inside of the 120V plug. I plugged the ballast itself back into a house outlet and its been running like normal for the last 45 minutes. No hot wires or anything.
