Cutting top Half?? First Grow - and issues!

Sorry for the double post - realized I likely posted this in the wrong category before.

I am debating to just chop the top 8-10" or so off one of my plants, as it seems to have died lol... not a laughing matter, but it's my coping mechanism. The bottom half of the plant seems healthy for the most part, at least salvageable anyways.

What should I do??? Cut the top half? I did smoke a bud from a branch that wasn't doing too well, and let me tell you, my wife and I still got right fucked. would it be worth it? Would it be beneficial to the bottom buds to chop the top?? In theory it makes sense, but then I am worried about mold, etc if I only cut half the plant.

Baaaaah what do to! So sad!

What a funny looking plant, looks like a turkey. Yes cut that dying part off and let the bottom grow.

I don't see where it has "died".
It looks like you got major nute deficiencies going on, however I don't see any "dead" parts.
It's quite normal for some fan leaves to change colour or lose colour during the late flowering stages.
If you just make sure to keep your plant rigid (support i somehow) and feed it enough nutrients it should bounce back.

I never prune my plants unless I absolutely have to (mold, rot, pests etc.).
I'm sure your plant can survive the deficiencies.

Ok - "dead" may be on the exagerrated side of things - however, even just being a first timer, it seems that growth towards the top of the plant has almost stopped. It has been getting progressively worse for the past couple of weeks now. Lower growth is still progressing, but top growth (leaves and bud quality) has diminished significantly. I am past 6 weeks into flowering now so I think I should have only a few weeks left of flowering, do you think that it can bounce back in that time frame??

Ye I can see the gaps and brittle nature of the top but I wouldn't cut it off now with just a few weeks left.
Make sure you are feeding enough nutes and that the balance is good (pH) and you might even get some good stuff out of the top part.
It will not bounce back completely though, you are too far into flowering for that to happen.
It will improve if fed right though.
