Current thinking on Parabolic reflector > vertical or horizontal bulb ?

I'm running a 600w MH/HPS in a typical wing type reflector. Two plants in a 3.5' x 4.5' x 8' high space.

Turning the plants isn't that big a deal but I was hoping for more even light spread with a 42" parabolic reflector.

Thoughts on vertical vs horizontal positioning of the bulb ?

Cheers

Stick with what you have or bare bulb IMO
Unless you can safely bend the wings outward? Follow herbs lead. Reflectors cut both ways. LOL.
Thank you's !

I'm thinking I'm not getting any reflected light off both ends of the bulb, would the parabolic not take care of that ?

And right now, I'm getting three or four inches of growth every couple of days on the sides directly under the light. I turn the plants and the same thing happens.

With better light spread you would think the growth would be more even ?

Cheers.

Had my fun with reflectors and lenses. Honetly if the bulb is not below the reflector, it is reflecting on its self and not down. User safety mandates the designs before actual light direction. They look bright.
