Curling leaves...

Hey there,

i have a problem with my plants. Their leaves curl under...it looks the same like my plants which i left in a aerofarm with ph 4.5.
They are growning very slow, too. I got very hard water here like 400 ppm and an ec of 0.8. I fertilize the water to 1.3 ec and correct the ph to 5.8
Is this happening because of the high ec? or did the ph change after i watered? or is it too much heat? I got around 28 degreese celsius.
They are under a 500w blackstar led.
Im thankful for every comment to help my ladies.

thanks Ivorist

pH 5.8 is a bit too low for soil I think, though I'm not sure what soil you're using...if it's coir then you're ok.
Hard water isn't good, so it could be that. Looks pretty serious, so could be a combo. Your heat could definitely do with being a bit lower for comfort. I assume you aren't using CO2.

Do you filter your water? Your plants would thank you...a carbon filter is the best. RO water can harm your plants.

I'll keep an eye here though, as I have a very slight curl problem of my own, and I'm keen to see what anyone else has to add.

Don't use RO water. That will massively increase the salt in your water and kill your plants! If you have really hard water then just try filtering it through active charcoal...

From what I understand additional Silica is a must when growing with LEDS. Have seen this mentioned in more than one article in the past. Not giving a extra supplement like Protek or the likes and all sorts of nutrient uptake and mutation issues can arise. The additional silica will also help buffer and help stabilize your pH a bit. Its what I would be looking into if I were you...
I would also just feed straight water for a week or so. Hard to tell under the LEDS but def some clawing and nute burn going on......

I think i also watered too much...i think the plants havent even rooted a lot yet...
put em right as seelings in these big pots and kept em very moist...watered 3 times till today..
now waiting for them to dry out but it takes very long to do so...
my 2 big agent orange plants drink their pots dry in about 3 days but the other plants seem to take weeks...
i wonder if i should water my curling plants with ph corrected tap water to cure the "maybe" nuteburn or just wait for them
to dry out?
will water both agent oranges now with tap water ph corrected to 5.8 and ppm 1430 and an ec of 2.
is ec 2 too high? My tap water is at ec 0.8
so its just ec 1.2 from the nutes or should i count the ec values together and water with ec 1.6 or something like that?
i think the 0.8 ec tap water contains just a lot of mag and cal so it wont burn if i boost it to ec 2 as its only ec 1.2 of nutes added!?

Sry for the complicated text.. just got a lot of questions...
