Is there any advantage to leaving lights off longer than 12hrs when you're 8weeks into flowering?

I always believed it could potentially speed up the finishing process.

But wouldn't it decrease bud size due to less light = less energy to bloom?

Why f*** with what not's broken ?Unless your growing auto's 12 on 12 off, irregular light patterns can bring unwanted stress!!
