Curious about switching from vegatation to flowering

Hey everyone first timer growing in a bubble-ponic emilys garden hydro farm. Getting close to switching the light over from 18-6 to 12-12 was wondering what the best way to do it is? Read that it sometimes best to leave light off and give total darkness for 24 hours before switching to 12-12. Any advice would be great check out my journal to see my info on my room.

what strains you growing? some people like to really let the plants know its time to flower and leave them in the dark for 24. I have always just flipped them especially if presexed but it wont hurt either way.

cannabis builds up flowering hormones during the darkness... giving them the 24 hours dark to start just gives them a double dose to get 'em going.
