cubensis mushroom flushing?

I have a question, im starting my first flush, i dunked them for 24 hours and put them back in the fruiting chamber. normally how long does it take for the cakes to start showing pins and growing mushrooms again?

If there are a couple spots on each cake with the mycelium showing, is that a problem? should i have sprinkled some verm on top of the showing spots? if it is a problem, why?

Thank you so much for any and all feedback, it is much appreciated and the knowledge will be well used.

I believe the formal term would be "dunk and roll"....typically what is done is the cakes are put in a pot of cold water and a plate is used to keep cakes fully submerged. This pot usually gets put in the fridge for 24hrs. Once the time is up, typically they gently roll the cakes in vermiculite and set back in fruiting chamber.

The mycelium showing is no problem, but if it was properly rolled then the majority should have a thin layer to encompass the cake.

Don't directly mist the cakes as this will greatly reduce your pinning. Remember to fan and mist several times a day. The more you can the better.

After being set back in the fruiting chamber, you should start to see pins within three days and of course we know what those pins turn into :)
