Crowded grow room & stretching

Will an over crowded grow room cause the plants to stretch more? If so what can be done, besides the obvious?

I dont think they will stretch because there probaly not gettin enough light to grow at all.
I think it will only slow the growth down. maybe start another grow room would be best for the plants.

Stretching is a function of the strain and the lighting. Some strains stretch and there is nothing you can do, short of topping or tying it down. And having insufficient light or the light too far up will also lead to stretching.

If you are running out of head room all you can do is top or tie it down and let it grow horz.

Thanks man, it's kinda weird because this is my second batch of clones. The first batch didn't stretch like this, nor did the mother. So that's why I came to the conclusion that they were stretching due to being over crowded.

I think you might want to remember that the less room a plant has, the more they might do things they shouldn't do in order to survive.

YOu want to give your plants ample room to grow. Thier roots can go where they need to grow and they'll get enough light. And if you have those things, then the nutrients you use can work all the better.

You need to make sure you're thinking abotu these things. And when you do, you'll see results......and you'll have an easier time with the grows.

yeah one of the defensive techniques the plant uses is to project its sun leaves upward then bring them down kind like its crawling over its neighboring plants, i have also noticed that if you have two plants of the same kind they tend to live fine in the same pot, not sure if two different strains would try to strangle eachother, havent tried, but i have 11 plants in a 3x3 grow space, so yeah they do try to gain an advantage over eachother by out growing one another, but its not gonne make them go huge, in fact all lmine appear slightly dwarfed except the DWC, but then the soil girls one 3 gallon has 2, one 5 gallon has 3, and two 5 gallons each have 1.

basically what my whole grow space has turned into is an 8-10" canopy at about 3" high which resembles a SOG arrangement,
