Critical Mass Story

I bought this plant from someone and they was dead leaves on it, the poor thing was root bound and apart from that the lower leaves were all twisted i have had her for 3 nites and two days. The lad who i got her off did not tell me what light he kept her under but he said she is one month old and the strain is "critical mass" I noticed that she had been topped all ready. So i have decided to LST (low stress training) here is my idea.

yeah it should work very well,
but you may need a bigger pot as it could take some veg time to complete the lst,

its not good for the plant to get root bound and have to re pot at a later stage
20ltr + pot would work
if you want to yield a lot, the more soil the better
i would use 100ltrs pot under a 600w hps and use good quality soil
you will not need nutes for weeks and water the plant 3-4 weeks after you re-pot
the less you need to add of nutes and water the better the yeild and less problems you will have with the plants

make sure the plant shows it needs water before you add water with large pots
under watering plants is not a problem if spotted in 24hours branches start to drop
but over watering a plant can do your plant a lot of damage

good luck

So after 38 hours and a change to a bigger pot I thought would be a idea to start training her i have inserted two holes on each side of the pot and bent one main branch one way and the other the other way i will keep on posting pictures so let me know what you guys think.

Thank you for the quick reply
I have transplanted but not to 20 ltr yet i was going to do it once it had grown the pot i am using 400 watt HPS will it be OK to do that way.

i don't think you can fully train the plant round the rim of a pot and move the plant to a bigger pot

as you need the stem to grow round the rim of the large pot and once the stems have gone brown it will snap easy if you try to re train it

50ltrs pot is good under a 400w hps

Good idea, I like the idea but as said you should have it in the biggest pot you plan on haveing once you train it to a small pot like said if the stem turns brown it may snap.

11 nodes all ready and still have not changed pot iw wait for her to get a bit bigger then i transplant leave for a week then change this little baby to flower

A few days since i updated i have give a little feed and loving and had her on 24/0 it might just me but i can see the leaves are starting to lighten up is that normal

repotting a LST trained plant sucks bad enough when they are small. i would highly recomend replanting that before it gets any bigger. if ya dont, u almost have to re-train the plant again to the new container size.

I have transplanted in to a 20 ltr pot this morning I have put a few tea bags in the soil as i have heard this is Organic. (I have used rabbit shit before "WOOF") It looks a lot more chilled with the room I have decided to leave it in the pot for a few week or 2 on 24/0 while tying her down Then i will start to flower her i will keep updating as she changes please feel free to tell me anything and thanks for the info so far.

you need to have some sort of food, the plant is getting lighter green in each pic which means she needs nitrogen.

there will not be enough food in the soil to keep her healthy until harvest, you need to buy some sort of fertilizer.

go to the local garden centre if you are too scared to go to a grow shop and look for plant foods ( on the bottle/packet it will have the NPK ratios eg 10/4/5)

for flowering you want ones with higher p and k (eg 2/5/7) and for growth you want ones with higher n (eg 10/2/4)

good luck with your first plant, lst is the best way to increase yields in my opinion

Thank you I have Coco A and B and PK 13/14 Its the first day of flower today I know she wont be big but i will be happy with what ever she produces.

This is the first day of flower I read on here you don't need to let it wait to root when transplanted just put it straight in to flower as it will root when flowering would you say its looking OK or would ya suggest upping the feed or something thanks once again.
