Creating a new cola.

So I have this plant here. I have circled a stem with just one leaf on it in red. Now, I want to know.. If i cut this leaf off.. will more grow back? And if I should cut it should I cut it where I circled in red (along the main cola) or where it is circled in blue (at the leaf)?
What I want to do here is create a new cola and promote growth on this bottom stem.

I have actually already FIMed and bent the plant. I know now that all the new colas need is light, and you're right cutting it would be pointless. I just read about so many different techniques it gets confusing sometimes mostly because nobody explains why the technique works rather they explain how to do it. I understand now.

cut just to the left of the red circle,in between the two little growth spots. I can't see your whole plant but I would wait until there are some more nodes to work with JMHO.

Go to the advanced techniques forum here and look for Uncle ben's topping technique, very good results and a mighty fine explanation of why.

Yes, that is what most people are telling me. I will wait until there is much more to work with and I guess I will leave it bent for now at about a 45 degree angle and I will bend it even more in a few days or so when it starts to adapt to the new bend.
