Creating a Mother from a Clone

(passing it again...)

Bought an OG clone two weeks ago. I thought I was going to put it in the ground (next to the Master Kush in my tomato patch!), but now I want to make it a mother and smoke happily ever after!

How do I transplant from rockwell? I want to put her in a 5 gallon pot with one of the soil recipes I've read here, but I don't know how to SAFELY take her out of the rockwell square she's in (i'll post a pic if ya'll need one).

it's gonna be hard, you might wanna try and just putting the square into the soil.

if shess in a big rockwool cube your f**ked ut if shes in a semi small on put it into the soil it will be fine

agreed, if it's a small cube it shouldn't be an issue at all, just plant and cover with a bit of soil and your done but make sure the root system is well developed enough and is bursting out of the cube so the roots find the soil and establish themselves quickly.

well plant it in a 5 gallon and you will be set

put that cube into expanded clay pellets and put a dripper into the rockwool block. that clay pellets you put into a large bucket (3-5 gallons) with holes in the bottom and the bucket into a even bigger one. to feed it you buy some hydro nutes for veg, that stuff goes for 10-15 bucks per bottle. with that you all set to grow your mother

Expanded clay pellets? what are those and where can I get them?

I love this site--ya'll respond to newbie questions so quickly, I might have my OG planted before sundown!

every garden store or center, they look like lil reddish rock pellets with lil holes all over their surface. normally come in bags of 20 to 50 liters. that's the way i know them.
used to be highly popular for sil flowers since they are less messy then soil and retain water well with smaller pellet sizes, plants could stay in that stuff for a month without watering. (i wouldn't try this in your case)

i am a firm believer in bonsai moms. a six inch pot will house a mother for a year or more. i keep them 12x12x12 inches and smaller, pruning every other week.
