Creating a dome with plastic bags?

I recently read that it is good to place plastic bags over my planted germinated seedlings to create a dome and hold moisture when they are under the lights. Is this preffered or should i just have my seedlings (in 3 gal pots in ffof soil) under the light and just make sure the top stays moist?

i usually protect mine from the fan for the first 7 days from sprout. i will use a bag if needed, but usually just arrange the plants so the seedlings arent in the line of fire from the fan. If your light is quite strong, raise it up or just use some flouros for a week.

I do this as well but instead of bags I cut a plastic water bottle in half and give that a couple sprits of water and put her over the seedling

What humidity do you keep your room or tent at when they are first sprouting? ( if you grow indoors)

I keep my humidity at 40% all the time through out the whole plants life and they do great. I throw the "humidity dome" over her as soon as I drop the seed in soil and for the first 7-10 days of her life, after that I just take it off and they do fine

I used a glass mixing bowl to cover my seedlings. They were at about 70% rh for the first month of life. Then after that it was about 30-50% rh.
