crappy digital socket timers

I went out and got some digital timers, one doesnt actually switch on or off with the timers, and the other one works ok but after a while the digital time display disapears and when it comes back (which is only when you tap it) the time comes back at the time it went off. So last night my babies had 13 1/2 hours light. Not impressed.

Where did you get it from? What brand?

I've got an Intermatic DT17 that has a battery backup. I really like it.
