Cpu fan

would this work as air circulation if i put one computer fan sucking in air to the back of my speaker grow box and another fan the opposite way acting as an exhaust with active carbon to prevent smell and circulate the box?

I Highly doubt that a common pc fan has the stregnth to push through a filter. Equal fans intake and exhaust with a filter restricting exhaust will lead to Positive air pressure, Thus pushing air out of every crack it can find and completely defeating/avoiding your efforts to filter.

Seems like if your space is small enough to cool with pc fans you could probably just get away with some dryer sheets hung from the exhaust and maybe some air fresheners. I highly reccomend those timed auto spray things, I forget what there called but it sprays air freshener automatically every 9,18,or 36 minutes and you can get em at walmart for like 6 or 7 bucks, Plus if you need more then 1 [unlikely] The box there sold in has a 2$ off coupon printed inside it for another one.

Good Luck

seems like a viable solution to me..

in such a small space I would think that pc fan would do with circulation... just dont put them on same level.. ie not directly across.. one top one bottom..

is there any way i could use 1 comp. fan and just cut a 2 inch circular hole with a dryer sheet for the air to exit the grow box or would that not work?

be specific in what you want , a cpu fan is the fan specifically used to cool the processor. Just get any comp fan 80mm, 100mm, 120mm are all good sizes. But it would be better to just have the fan pushing out if you only use one. From my experience Passive intake works much better then passive exhaust. It goes back to the positive pressure thing again, Better to have all your air escaping from one spot if you ask me.

alright i think im going to use 2 fans and have one as an exhaust and put the other inside of the speaker blowing air at the plants. will this be effective?

ok how would i go about doing something about the smell if i just use the passive exhaust? i was going to use someones idea of dryer sheets and the little machines that shoot air freshener every 9,18 or 36 minutes. would it effect my plants to have the air freshener inside the speaker with the lights on?

I wouldnt put anything like that inside the box... try the dryer sheet and see how it goes..

alright i might be able to put it over the fan bc it will be blowing out of the speaker and i could tape or staple it in front of the outgoing air.

I have a 120mm cpu fan that im going to attach to a duct which has a carbon filter attached to end, check it out if you want. I think a good 120mm fan from Thermaltake or Antec will blow plenty of air.
Check out my comment for it
