Cowpots??

ANybody heard of or tried these? Im thinking of starting my seed babies and cutting into coir strips, and from there into cowpots, then directly into ground, any opinions on these cowpots? They even come in 7 and 12" square size.

Do you think they would work well? break down in 3-4 weeks, but would also richen up the soil, with mainly nitrogen I guess

Sure why not. Especially good for new growers who are not familiar with transplanting.

i know OD growers who've used the peat ones for years and swear by them, but this is almost better!

ya i've used peat, and coir, but these seem better (full of nutrients), also its hard to find peat or coir in large sizes, and i have had a few mold problems with peat pots, just don't want soil to be too nitrogen rich from them?

you're thinking for the final step before in the ground, right? there's no reason you couldn't try them, and if they start to respond badly, be ready to put them in the ground and water the shit out of them to flush the N out? or something?

yes, final step before ground, i usually add manure with my soil amendments, so if i use them ill just hold up on the shit i guess?
