cow shit

i live right next to a cow pasture, so i have access to a pretty much unlimited supply of cow manure. could i use this as a good natural fertilizer? i know that you can make a tea out of it too, and just water with that. any input?

if you have cow poop redily available you should start a compost pile.... ive never used fresh poop but barnyard animal waste is a good thing and you should start a pile

how long do i need to compost for? will it be ready in time for me to plant this year?

not sure but i think if its out of the feild you can dry it out and use it try posting in the organic section prolly get some good advice there be sure to read the stickys

i agree with composting... at best i think manure is 1-1-1
