Not everyone who grows marijuana has a penis. Are most of your plants female or male? How about using the same assumption for this board then?

Please stop referring to everyone as "man", or "sir" when replying in posts, it's rather insulting to those of us who aren't...thanks. :wall:

It would be completely wrong to assume a 50/50 make-up of gender, when it comes to growing. I must assume based on your thread, that you are female - but how many female growers do you know?
I know none - and lots of male growers. It's way cool that girls grow, but instead of feeling insulted, why don't you just make some form of hint to your gender, so that we can respond properly. Gal, girl, woman - what it may be. Of course we'll all assume growers are male, because that's probably true for 90% or better. the only way you can change that, is to get all your girlfriends to start growing. Welcome to you all.

i have to say that i just brought this subject up the other day in my journal to a fellow grower whom i happen to know is a female.. i mentioned the mr ganja under her name and asked if it bothered her, but she said no as most of the growers on riu as well as in life are men, but i do hear what you are saying.. i think it is kinda sexist for riu to just assume that a master grower must have a penis and therefore is mr ganja... it kinda rubbed me the wrong way as well.. and i always love the people who come back at women who have an opinion by saying that it must be thier time of the month.. i think it just goes to show how stupid and close minded that a lot of people are..
but with this being said.. if it bothers you to be addressed as a sir or man or bro or whatever in your threads or posts, just take the time to correct people.. i have seen this done before and i now lovingly refer to her as her, madam, miss... she.. whatever.. it only took her telling one person in one post for me to pick up on it and to make sure that i always use the correct terminology for her.. no harm no foul, but i do think that you do have a valid point..

How am I to know any of you are boys? Other than the completely jackass responses some of you have...Should I start referring to everyone as "Miss" and "ma'am" just because I'm not sure?

Missing the point entirely...you don't need to know that I'm a girl to assume that half the people on here may well be female...and inexplicably you assume everyone is male.

Most growers are male, therefore the odds are that you are a male.
It isn't rocket science.
