Could I use a moisture meter in a rockwool cube?

Im a first timer and I dont want to rely on my "good judgement" for when to give extra water to my RW cubes during the seedling stage before the roots reach the water in the rez and start feeding themselves. Can I use a moisture meter like you would use if you were growing in soil? It should work shouldnt it? Id like to use the meter as insurance, you know? Would it work?

bro thats worrying to much just let the cubes dry enough to feel a little dry to the touch. I usually water my seedlings 1/8 strength nutes every 24 hours for about the first two weeks or until noticeable growth appears then adjust accordingly, theirs alot of info on this site from more experienced growers just do some research and you will be fine.
