So they are serving an arrest warrent for a guy who killed a woman and then burned her body. Dallas SWAT with all their tacticool gear jump on the OUTSIDE of APCs (they call them armored personal CARRIERS for a reason...) only to slowly drive over about a waist height chain link fence. The APC pretty well stops after that and then you just have a bunch of SEAL wannabes standing outside a house in the Dallas ghetto with guns.

Call me crazy but I am staying way the fuck behind something if I think this guy has an AR. Block off the area, shut off his power and water and give the guy 3 days. Instead the keystone cops get to play will all their fun toys (God knows you need a .308 sniper in a residential neighborhood...) and toss some brown people around.

I was half hoping for an Iraq style VBIED to go off about the time the badasses roll up in their APC.

I read the bit about a .308 sniper, are you taking about cops on tv, do you know where you can stream it online?

Yea, that's a little much. To be honest with you a lot of the people that are hired to be on SWAT teams are usually ex seal/ranger batt./special forces/black water/tiger swan guys. So they're not exactly wannabees, but probably more like has beens.

They're following whatever protocal they're suppose follow in that situation. An AR-15 is chambered for 5.56 nato round which isn't supposed to be lethal. It's actually more lethal from over 600 meters because the round begins to tumble and lose velocity and causes a more serious wound upon impact.

But yea, they're probably just pumped about the chance to use all their cool guy gear.
