Cop at my door on harvest day!!

Ok how fucked up is this.Was due to harvest my weed today and was just about to get to work when I get a " knock knock knock" on my door. I give it a second and peer through a window upstairs to see who it is ,a cop.

Start absolutely shitting myself."i'm caught how the fuck am I caught" I think. Couple of minutes later "knock knock knock" Mother fucker's still there .. now I have accepted that for some unknown reason I have been busted and I have told literally no one else accept this site and have never logged on unless through a vpn or tor.Plus the c99 did not stink at all during the grow.

So I wait and he goes away eventually, I then frantically rip the plant out of the closet ,hack it down and cram in it in some bin bags and take it out to the car. Then I began to think about what the hell was going on.I remembered seeing a cop car parked across the street last night and thought maybe there was a chance it was nothing to do with me..so I got the idea now that the weed was off the scene to ring the police station ,tell them I couldn't go to the door at the time but how could I help them.Turns out they were doing door to door enquiries as an "incident " had happened in the area, then I find out that a person across the street had been assaulted.

So the situation I'm in now is I brought the plant in and gave it very quick manicure.. it looked a right sorry state ..all squished up, so i'm super annoyed about that

And now my room fucking stink and I got to worry about the pigs coming back to my door.I didn't wanna leave the plant in the bags to mold so I just gotta hope that either A) the pigs don't come back or B) The airfreshners I have put around do their job.


Talk about a shitty situation though. I gotta stress the next 3 or 4 days ,not to mention my buds getting a bit squished

maybe I should just not go to the door at all...

Don't open the door, under any circumstances. If you leave the house, exit thru the back door and let them find you outside. Do not re-enter the house, especially if they want to talk inside. Tell them you have a big, nasty dog that bites everyone he doesn't know.

Ouch. Sucks they knocked. You volunteered to call back, though?

Remember the rules, cops are like vampires. They suck, they're out to get you, and they need to be invited in -- and will use power of persuasion and threats to get you to let them in.

Yeh I rang them, My thinking was if they are on to me they won't just stop at this ,so I get the plant off my property and put the chilli plant in its place.. so kind of like ,if they were wanting to knock and talk... sure officer come and have a look around... that light in my closet you ask? that's my chilli plant ...

As it turns out though the dude across the way smashed up his gf pretty bad ,so they are looking statements..

Thanks for the karma ...appreciate it.. I don't wanna give you the wrong impression that the buds are ruined.. they just didn't get handled with the usual care and get the usual good trim.But they still look good...just a little squashed in a few places..

I had her hnging in my room and I tell ya this strain reeks so bad when chopped I was getting really worried ,but I had the brainwave of hanging it up in the attic.. and now everything is cool ,no smell ,so they can come and stick their snouts in if they like, pretty sure they just wanna ask if I know anything about the assault ,to which I will say no

Oh shit! Good for you on not answering the door. We had an incident a few years back where our entire neighborhood got egged. One of the neighbors called the police, which led them to go door to door looking for info. My wife answered the door and they tried to invite them self/step inside to ask questions about the incident. She basically stepped into their bubble which forced them back, locked the door and shut it behind her. I bet they would have tried to do the same with you.

yep exactly smilebob , I know how they operate ,I know that even if they are at my door on completely unrelated business ,they would still like to get inside and see if they see or smell anything of interest to them.

I've had them tap and rap for some criminal mischief going on in the neighborhood. The way my place is set up I have a double door. So they knock on the outside door, I come out a door, close it, then through a small hallway and open the outside door for them. Not the screen door though. They never got pushy with me luckily enough. Last time was a hot lady cop that was very smilely and friendly. Until my wife came down.

The last time the cops came to my house they caught me in SpongeBob SquarePants boxer briefs climbing in my bedroom window (long story). They don't think I'm growing. They think I'm batshit crazy.

Ya know, people do work and travel. It's absolutely not suspicious to not answer the door, ever. But, hey, I'd be shitting my pants too brother!

Just be more diligent over the next several weeks when you come home or leave to make sure cop isn't in the area.

And like others have said, keep the conversation outside. And finally, keep reminding yourself "they are not after me", repeat

As inept as they are - occasionally they get something right.

i work like this , knock knock ? i go upstairs and look through the window , i can normaily see people either stood there or in the reflection of the car , if i want ill open a window and say ``can i help you ? `` , if i then want to speak to them its a hang on and i go answer the door , if its a little vague then i come out the back and walk round , if i dont want to talk i simply close the window and they can bugger off , simply put if i dont want to know then i dont want to know , if someone knocks the door this does not mean i fancy a chat , theres nothing automatic about it getting answered , ill do it after ive checked out who it is only , casing point our kid showed up tonight , if i hadnt already arranged to see him i wouldnt have answered the door at all

Just remember a few things. If they don't have a felony warrant they cant knock your door down or let themselves in.Keep this in the back of your mind always.
