Do cooltubes really make a big difference? I have a small cabinet grow and i am having an issue with heat with 600 watt hps in cabinet reaches 85-90 degrease ,would a cool tube make a signiicant difference?
I think the easiest solution would be to put a sheet of plexiglass between the light and the grow. Make a clear attic above the plants and vent the top above the bulb. You'll see a huge reduction in your plant heat stress.

i use a 600w hps in a 2'x3' cabinet the cool tube i use makes a huge difference to the temps just make sure you use a large enough fan for the job. the fan i use is a 6" ruck temperature controlled fan http://www.aquaculture-hydroponics....oductID=1884&categoryID=449&subCategoryID=449
it keeps temps to with 1 degrees of where i want it
As long as you are sucking out the hot air a HPS produces, then your temp will go down. Plain and simple. You don't need a cooltube, but you need a way to have the air blown out from that hot ass lamp.
