I have a roughly 2x2x6 room with a 4" inline fan (152 CFM, but running at 50-60%) connected to my hood at one end and the other is left open to pull the air out of the grow room. I'm currently using a 400w HPS bulb (ballast is outside of the grow room) and have 2 - 4" ducts for letting air in. the hood is cool to the touch, probably about 75 degrees or less. the outside air is around 73 degrees. my problem is is that the radiant temperature from the bulb is heating the area below the hood to around 90-92 degrees (anywhere from 1ft to 3ft away from the light. is there away to get the temps down?
